Streptomycin sulfate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial (bactericidal) action. The drug is active against Mycobacterium tuberculosis , the majority of gram-negative bacteria ( Escherichia coli , Salmonella spp ., Shigella spp .,Yersinia spp ., Klebsiella spp ., In t. Ch. Klebsiella pneumoniae , Haemophilus influenzae , Neisseria gonorrhoeae , Neisseria meningitidis , Yersinia pestis, Francisella tularensis , Brucella spp .) And some gram-positive microorganisms (Staphylococcus spp., Corynebacterium diphtheria). The bactericidal effect of the drug is due to the binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, which subsequently leads to inhibition of protein synthesis in microorganisms

Composition:

Each vial contains
Streptomycin sulphate 200 gm Equi. To 160 gm streptomycin base

Indications:

Treatment of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses and dogs suffering from leptospirosis, brucellosis, tularemia, pneumonia, diplococcal infections, mastitis, endometritis, endocarditis, meningitis, wound and postnatal sepsis, erysipelas and edema (in swine), malignant Catarrhal fever, campylobacteriosis and actinomycosis (in cattle) and other diseases caused by microorganisms susceptible to streptomycin

Dosage:

Intramuscular injections make deep into the muscle. The course of treatment is 4-7 days
Route of administration by I/M injection only
For the active ingredient 10 mg / kg b. wt.
Add sterile water for injection up to 500ml to the content of the vial to obtain a concentration of 320 mg /ml reconstituted solution
Cattle 3 ml of reconstituted solution / 100 kg b.wt for up to 3 day
Sheep 1.5 ml / 50 kg b.wt for up to 3 days

Precaution:

Streptomycin is cross-allergic to other aminoglycosides. Animals that are allergic to aminoglycosides should be banned from this product.
Use with caution when suffering from dehydration

Withdrawal Time:

Cattle meat & offal 16 days
Milk 48 hours
Sheep meat & offal 18 days
Do not use in sheep producing mil for human consumption
